Box Score

Bloomington, Ind.  The Robert Morris University field hockey team's winning streak was halted at four, as the Colonials fell to Indiana this afternoon, 4-1.

RMU dug themselves into a hole in the first half, allowing three goals in the first 35 minutes of play. Audra Heilman broke Erin McKenzie's (Lismore, Australia / University of Queensland Tech) shutout streak of 325:42 with a goal in the 26th minute, and then Danielle McNally added a score of her own just three minutes later off a rebound. Mariella Grote ended the first half scoring in the 34th minute, as she buried a pass from Hannah McDermott into the back of the net.

The Colonials would get on the board early in the second half, thanks to a familiar scoring combination from yesterday's contest. Freshman Chloe McIlwaine (Belfast, Ireland / Northumbria University) handled a pass from junior Jamie Hartley (Tamworth, Australia / University of Newcastle) and found the cage in the 41st minute, cutting the Hoosiers' lead to two.

Indiana would put the game away in the 67th minute as Sydney Supica scored off of a penalty corner attempt. Emily Bowker and Karen Lorite were awarded with the assists.

The Hoosiers held advantages on shots (17 to 11), shots on goal (8 to 6), and penalty corners (6 to 4).

RMU returns to the Keystone State on Saturday for two games in Lock Haven. The Colonials will first face Massachusetts-Lowell at noon on Saturday, then take on the hosts, Lock Haven, at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.
