Colonials Finish 11th At Bucknell Invitational

Sophomore Halley Morell leads RMU in 30th position.

Lewisburg, Pa. / Bucknell University G.C. — The Robert Morris University women's golf team finished 11th at the Bucknell Women's Invitational, the first event of the season for the team. The Colonials totaled 992 strokes over the three-round event.

Williams & Mary won by 10 strokes with a 912. Columbia and Seton Hall finished in a tie for second while Siena and Radford rounded out the top five teams. Columbia's Michelle Piyapattra took medalist honors in a playoff finishing 12 strokes over par.

Sophomore Halley Morell (Brecksville, Ohio / Brecksville-Broadview Heights) was 30th to lead Robert Morris. She shot her best round of the event Sunday, carding a 79 to finish with a 240 total. Freshman Amanda Reach (Moscow, Pa. / North Pocono) matched Morell's final round 79, cutting nine strokes from her second round score. Her 247 put her in a tie for 44th overall.

Junior Sarah Weber (Hudson, Ohio / Hudson) closed out her weekend with an 85 that gave her a 252 over 54 holes. That put her tied for 53rd. Senior Annie Bozich (Aliquippa, Pa. / Center) was 63rd with a 256. She improved in each round carding an 82 Sunday. Freshman Chloe Wong (Vancouver, B.C. / Prince of Wales) also improved throughout the weekend bringing home an 84 in the last round. Her 260 total put her 68th overall.
