Anthony Myers-Pate (Washington, D.C. / Charis Prep) pushed the Colonials back in front, 67-66, with a jumper from the wing.
Saint Francis U. had an opportunity to grab the lead back, but Brown missed a pair at the free-throw line with 1:13 remaining. RMU stretched its advantage to 69-66 on its next possession, as sophomore forward
Aaron Tate (New Bern, N.C. / Dodge City Community College) scored a layup on a feed from Myers-Pate.
Ronnie Drinnon converted a layup off a feed from Ben Millaud-Meunier with 38 seconds to play to trim SFU's deficit to 69-68, and Major followed by fouling Anderson with 13.2 seconds to go.
