Against RIT
- Robert Morris and RIT have already met once this season, a game that ended in a 4-2 loss for RMU on Nov. 9.
- The Colonials have faced the Tigers 12 times since the inception of the Robert Morris program, and RMU holds the advantage in the all-time series with a record of 5-4-3.
- Since the Colonials joined Atlantic Hockey starting with the 2010/11 season, the two teams have split their ten meetings, each going 4-4-2.
- Of the four matchups that have taken place in Rochester, N.Y., Robert Morris has come away with just one win and a record of 1-1-2.
- Senior forward Colin South has totaled eight points - four goals and four assists - in nine career games against RIT.
- Sophomore goaltender Terry Shafer has played in just one game against RIT in his career, the contest on Nov. 9 when he was removed during the second period after allowing four goals on 28 shots.

Scouting the Tigers
- RIT currently sits in eighth place in Atlantic Hockey with a conference record of 7-10-2 and an overall record of 8-14-4.

Taking the Game Outside
On Jan. 3, 2015, Robert Morris and Bowling Green, in conjunction with the Toledo Walleye of the ECHL, will take to the ice outdoors at Fifth Third Field in Toledo, Ohio.  As part of the Walleye's Winterfest, the two teams will participate in the first outdoor game in RMU program history.

One Week, Two Wins, Two Awards
After a sweep of Army, two Colonials - Terry Shafer and Cody Wydo - earned accolades from Atlantic Hockey.  With five points - three goals and two assists - Wydo was named the league's Player of the Week.  Posting his second-career shutout while allowing four goals in the two games and recording a .927 save percentage, Shafer was named a Co-Goaltender of the Week by the AHA.
No Shorties Allowed
This season, Robert Morris is one of four schools in the NCAA - along with Clarkson, Colorado College, and St. Cloud State - to not allow a shorthanded goal during the 2013/14 campaign.  Of the four schools, Robert Morris has had the most power-play opportunities in the season with 118.

Searching for a First Round Bye
Currently sitting in fourth place after sweeping Army last week, Robert Morris remains in the hunt for a first-round bye in the 2014 Atlantic Hockey Playoffs, an achievement that is given to the top-four teams after regular season play.  With 23 points, the Colonials are currently tied with Air Force for the final first-round bye.

30-30 for Wydo
With his assist in Friday's contest against Army, junior forward Cody Wydo joined the 30-30 club at Robert Morris.  Wydo now has 53 career goals and 31 assists, becoming the eighth Colonial to join the club that includes senior forward Colin South.

Winning with the Penalty Kill
In its ten victories this season, Robert Morris has allowed just three power-play goals to its opponents.  The Colonials have killed off 33 of the 36 (91.7 percent) penalties they have committed, ranking RMU 14th in the NCAA.

Under Fire
Sophomore goaltender Terry Shafer has seen 724 shots this season, ranking the netminder eighth in the NCAA and fourth in the AHA.  Shafer's 661 saves this season  put the RMU goaltender ninth in the nation and fourth in Atlantic Hockey.

Creating a Robert Morris Victory
All ten of Robert Morris' victories this season have come when the Colonials have scored first, have not trailed at the end of any period, and recorded a minimum of 30 shots while not being outshot their opponent.

Surviving the Second Period
The second period has been the kryptonite of Robert Morris this season.  Colonial goaltenders have recorded a 4.15 goals-against average and a .887 save percentage in the middle frame despite making 283 saves, the most save in any period this season.

Guarding an Empty Net
Robert Morris is just one of five teams - along with Alabama-Huntsville, Boston College, Cornell, and Ferris State - in the NCAA yet to allow an empty-net goal this season.  Of those five teams, RMU has spent the most time with an extra attacker on the ice, 17:35.
