Pittsburgh, Pa. -- The Robert Morris University men's hockey team is receiving votes in the first preseason USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll. The Colonials are listed just outside the Top 15 (listed 22^nd) with 5 points in the poll.

The defending regular season Atlantic Hockey conference champion Colonials were selected to win the conference in the AHC preseason coaches poll and the AHC media poll. Head coach Derek Schooley's squad posted a 24-8-5 overall record in the 2014-15 season and returns 9 seniors for the 2015-16 campaign, including 100-point scorer Zac Lynch who notched 18 goals and 22 assists last season. Lynch is also an AHC media selected preseason all-star. RMU is the only AHC team receiving the marks in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll.

RMU hosts the University of Guelph for an exhibition Sunday, Oct. 11, and opens the regular season at home against conference foe Air Force at 84 Lumber Arena on October 16-17.
