CapsuleRobert Morris will begin Northeast Conference play Friday at home against Sacred Heart in the second game of a men's and women's doubleheader at the North Athletic Complex. Robert Morris finished off non-conference play with a pair of home wins last week. The Colonials defeated local rival Duquesne 2-1 in a double overtime thriller and came away with a 3-0 victory against the Howard Bison. Sacred Heart will be competing in their first game in the last three weeks, with their last contest being a loss to St. Peters by a score of 2-1 on September 16. The Pioneers are 1-4-1 on the year and are attempting to break a three-game losing streak.

The Series vs. Sacred HeartRMU holds the series edge with a record of 11-5 all-time against Sacred Heart. Shutouts have been very common over the years with ten of their previous matchups ending with one team held scoreless. The Colonials won last year by a score of 3-1 and RMU defeated the Pioneers 5-0 in 2013.
