Youngstown, Ohio – Senior
Olivia Loy qualified for the ECAC Championships in leading the
Robert Morris University indoor track & field team at the YSU College Invitational Friday inside the Watson and Tressel Training Site.
Loy was part of an RMU team that posted a top-five finish in every field event. No team scores were kept at the meet in which 19 schools participated.
Loy finished second in the pole vault with a mark of 3.70 meters, qualifying for the ECAC Championships in that event for the fourth time in four indoor seasons. She cleared each of the first four heights she attempted on her first jump, including her final mark of 3.70. Her height from Friday is tied for the fifth highest mark in school history.
Sophomore
Maggie Prorok posted RMU's top finish on the track as she placed fifth of 38 competitors in the 5,000 meter run. Her time of 18:37.72 stands as the eighth fastest in program history and the third best mark in a non-championship meet. In tallying a new career best in the event, Prorok took over 14 seconds off her time from when she contested the event in the season's first month.
Freshman
Mathilde Terleth came in third in the long jump, leading a group of four Colonials that finished among the top 15 in the event. Terleth's mark of 5.41 meters not only bettered her previous season best by 38 centimeters but also stands as the second-best mark in the league this season.
Junior

Maria Scanlon and sophomore
Tricia Panos placed eighth, ninth and 15th, respectively, in the long jump, an event that featured 44 entrants. Lewis and Scanlon posted career best marks of 5.19 meters and 5.11 meters, respectively, while Panos contributed a leap of 4.93 meters.
Junior
April Krivoniak finished fourth in the shot put with a season best toss of 13.40 meters while classmate
Rachel Boody took fourth of 42 competitors in the other throwing event. Boody posted a fling of 14.99 meters in the weight throw.
Freshman
Lilly Harnish notched top-five finishes in both the high jump and triple jump. Harnish tied for fifth of 34 entrants in the high jump with by clearing 1.55 meters. She was alone in fifth place in the triple jump with a bound of 10.86 meters.
Freshman
Madison Mueseler and senior
Tatianna Struble placed eighth and 10th, respectively, in the 400-meter dash, which featured 52 runners. Mueseler posted a time of 59.04 seconds while Struble stopped the clock in 59.83 seconds as each ran the event for the first time in their career. The same duo also contributed top-15 finishes the 60-meter hurdles. Struble placed ninth (9.25 seconds) while Mueseler was 14th (9.53 seconds).
Scanlon was RMU's top finisher in the 200-meter dash as she placed 16th of 73 competitors with a time of 26.54 seconds.
Junior
Danielle Carmen and sophomore
Elaina Smith added top-10 finishes in the triple jump for the Colonials. Carmen was ninth with a new career best of 10.49 meters while Smith was right behind in 10th with a mark of 10.39 meters. Carmen also tied for 12th in the high jump by clearing 1.50 meters.
RMU is scheduled to compete on back-to-back weeks for the first time this season as it will next hit the track at the SPIRE Midwest Indoor Track & Field Open. The meet is a two-day event that begins Friday, Jan. 29.
