Somerset, N.J. – Keane McIvor, a junior midfielder on the Robert Morris University men's soccer team, was named to the All-Northeast Conference (NEC) Second Team at the league's annual postseason banquet this evening.
McIvor, who hails from Diego Martin, Trinidad & Tobago, led Robert Morris with five assists and nine points and was one of nine players to play over 1,000 minutes this season. The junior provided a helper on both of the Colonials' goals in a 2-0 victory over Pittsburgh on Sept. 13 and dished out another assist in their next game against Lehigh. McIvor's first goal of the year came in RMU's NEC opener on Oct. 7 as he tallied the equalizer in the 57th minute of a 1-1 draw against Fairleigh Dickinson. He later nabbed his second goal in a non-conference tilt against James Madison on Nov. 1, converting from the penalty spot after earning the free kick with a strong run into the box.
Robert Morris loses just two seniors to graduation in 2017 and is slated to return 94 percent of its point output.
