Francis Marotte has been named the Travel Team USA Atlantic Hockey Conference Goalie of the Week for his two-win weekend performance on the road against Sacred Heart.
Marotte made 56 saves on 58 shots, earning two victories in the Colonials sweep of the Pioneers. Marotte led Atlantic hockey with a .966 save percentage and 1.00 goals against average for the weekend. Of all NCAA goaltenders recording two wins last week, Marotte has the best save percentage and GAA.
Marotte's hot start to his Robert Morris career is among the best of any goaltender in NCAA men's hockey this season. The freshman currently paces all goaltenders with a .951 save percentage*Â and is third overall with a 1.48 GAA. The Longueuil, Quebec native has been in goal for each of the Colonials five wins this season, with a 5-1-1 record and the sixth highest winning percentage* in NCAA hockey.
