- The Robert Morris University men's basketball team concludes the road portion of its 2016-17 non-conference schedule Saturday with a 4:30 p.m. tip against No. 13/12 Virginia at John Paul Jones Arena in a game that can be seen live on ESPNU.
 
- RMU wrapped up a two-game homestand with a 74-53 loss to Oakland (12/10/16) at the Charles L. Sewall Center. Senior guard Kavon Stewart was the only member of the Colonials to reach double figures, scoring 10 points while also tallying six rebounds and a pair of assists.
 
- Robert Morris enters Saturday's game @ Virginia leading the Northeast Conference in scoring defense (68.1 ppg) and three-point field goal percent defense (.303) while ranking third in field goal percent defense (.447).
 
- The Colonials opened their homestand by hosting a game at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pa., for the first time program history, earning a 64-60 victory over Duquesne (12/6/16). Sophomore guard Isaiah Still converted a driving layup with 15.3 seconds to play to put the Colonials ahead for good and followed by blocking a layup attempt by Emile Blackman to help preserve the win.
 
- Sophomore guard Isaiah Still scored a game-high 22 points to pace Robert Morris against the Dukes, hitting seven of his 13 attempts from the field, including 4-for-4 from beyond the arc, while finishing 4-for-6 at the free-throw line. Still leads the Colonials and ranks sixth in the Northeast Conference in scoring at 15.1 points per game.
 
- Senior guard Kavon Stewart contributed 12 points, five rebounds and two steals in the win over the Dukes, while freshman guard Clive Allen added 11 points, five rebounds, three assists and three blocks.
 
- RMU opened its December slate with a 64-58 setback @ Lehigh (12/3/16). Sophomore guard Isaiah Still led RMU with 17 points, while senior guard Kavon Stewart contributed 13 points, four rebounds and three assists.
 
- Freshman guard Clive Allen registered his first career double-figure scoring game against the Mountain Hawks, scoring all 10 of his points in the first half. He also added four rebounds, two assists and a steal.
 
- Robert Morris will host Buffalo Wednesday, Dec. 21, in its final non-conference game of 2016-17 after taking on the Cavaliers Saturday. The game will be played at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pa.
 
- RMU opens its Northeast Conference slate with a two-game road trip. The Colonials visit Sacred Heart Thursday, Dec. 29, for a 3:30 p.m. tip before traveling to Teaneck, N.J., for a 3:00 p.m. tip at Fairleigh Dickinson Saturday, Dec. 31.
 
- The Colonials return home to the Charles L. Sewall Center Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, with a 7:00 p.m. tip against LIU Brooklyn.



Oakland Tidbits - Robert Morris slipped to 0-4 in the all-time series against Oakland ... The Golden Grizzlies shot 55.6 percent (25-for-45) from the field, the highest field goal percentage for an RMU opponent in 2016-17 ... Isaiah Brock rejected seven shots, the most an opponent has registered during the seven years Andrew Toole has been the head coach at Robert Morris ... Tarik Black of Memphis also blocked seven shots against the Colonials Dec. 29, 2011 ... RMU failed to shoot at least 40 percent in a game this season for the fourth time, hitting on just 31.6 percent (18-of-57) of its attempts from the floor ... Sophomore guard Isaiah Still scored a season-low five points against Oakland, failing to reach double figures for just the second time in 11 games.
 
Balancing Act - Senior guard Kavon Stewart has developed into a consistent secondary scorer for the Colonials the last few weeks, as he enters Saturday's game @ Virginia owning the longest active streak of double-figure scoring games at six. During that stretch Stewart has provided Robert Morris with an average of 13.7 points while shooting 46.4 percent (26-for-56) from the field and 66.7 percent (28-for-42) at the free-throw line. Stewart has also balanced scoring with creating on offense, averaging 3.0 assists during that span while also producing an average of 2.0 steals per contest.
 
Did You Know? In RMU's first seven games of the season, a total of three ties and three lead changes took place. In the last four games, however, contests between the Colonials and their opponents have featured 37 ties and 49 lead changes.
 
Under/Over - The 2016-17 version of the Colonials are one of the youngest teams in head coach Andrew Toole's seven-year tenure at RMU, as three freshman and three sophomores help make up the rotation. Through 10 games of the year, the Robert Morris underclassmen have supplied the Colonials with 49.7 percent (1,094-of-2,200) of the minutes played and 54.3 percent (365-of-618) of their scoring.

RMU wraps up the road portion of its 2016-17 non-conference slate Saturday at Virginia, and John Paul Jones Arena will become the 12th arena that the Colonials have played in that has also featured a concert by Pearl Jam since the band's formation in 1990.
