Still Named Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week

Freshman guard averaged 20.5 points, 6.0 rebounds in pair of games last week

Moon Township, Pa. – Freshman guard Isaiah Still of the Robert Morris University men's basketball team earned the first weekly honor of his career Monday as he was named Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week.

In a pair of games last week at the Charles L. Sewall Center, Still averaged 20.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists while shooting 48.1 percent (13-for-27) from the floor and 78.6 percent (11-for-14) at the free-throw line.

Still opened the week by scoring 12 of his game-high 19 points in the second half against Central Connecticut (2/4/16). He finished 7-of-15 shooting from the field against the Blue Devils, tied a career high with seven rebounds and also dished out three assists.

Two days later Still contributed 22 points, five rebounds and an assist in an 89-71 victory over Bryant (2/6/16). He converted six of his 12 attempts from the floor and was 8-for-11 at the stripe against the Bulldogs.

Still has now reached double figures in scoring in each of his last four games, averaging 19.0 points and 5.0 rebounds over that stretch while shooting 49 percent (25-for-51) from the field. Overall this season, Still contributes averages of 9.4 points and 3.8 rebounds per contest, numbers that improve 11.3 points and 4.1 rebounds per game against league foes.

Under the guidance of sixth-year head coach Andrew Toole, RMU concludes a three-game homestand Thursday, Feb. 11, with a 5:00 p.m. tip against Saint Francis U. at the Sewall Center. The game will be televised live on ESPNU.
