Pittsburgh, Pa. - The
Robert Morris University men's hockey team announces that
Michael Coyne has been added to the roster for the 2016-17 season.
Coyne, a 6-foot-1, 195-pound forward from Kenmore, NY, was a captain with the Wenatchee Wild of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) last season. Coyne played the previous two seasons for the Wild in the NAHL before the team moved to the BCHL last season. Prior to junior hockey, Coyne played two seasons with the Buffalo Jr. Sabres U16 & U18 teams.
Coyne scored 16 goals and added 31 assists in 58 games for Wenatchee in the BCHL last season, the best of his junior career. In three seasons with Wenatchee, Coyne posted 30 goals and 99 points in the regular season, along with four goals and 16 points in 25 postseason games.
