RMU Picked Sixth in 2017 MAAC Preseason Poll

Colonials tally 43 points

Moon Township, Pa. – According to a poll of Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) head coaches, the Robert Morris University rowing team has been picked to finish sixth in the conference in 2017.
 
Tabbed as the preseason favorite was Jacksonville, which earned seven first-place votes and 96 total points. The Dolphins are the three-time defending MAAC Champion. Rounding out the top five was Marist (86), Canisius (76), Fairfield (68) and Drake (63). The Golden Griffins earned a trio of first-place tallies.
 
The Colonials tallied 43 points in the 2017 MAAC Preseason Poll and are followed by Sacred Heart (38), Iona (34), Stetson (33) and Manhattan (11).
 
Led by head coach Nelle Stahura, who is in her second year at the helm of the program, the Colonials will compete at the MAAC Rowing Championships Friday, May 12, 2017, at Mercer County Park in West Windsor, N.J.
