RMU Travels to St. Bonaventure

Moon Township, Pa. - Robert Morris University women's lacrosse visits a snowy St. Bonaventure for a 1:00pm game on Sunday.

FIERCE FRESHMEN
Freshmen have led the Colonials in nearly all of RMU's first eight contests. In the opening game against Bucknell, Annie Sachs posted two goals and four assists in an 11-10 loss to Bucknell. She followed with two goals in a 9-4 loss to #18 Louisville, and added four goals and two assists in a 21-6 victory over visiting Central Michigan on Saturday. Sachs was only second in scoring for RMU on one occasion, when Mackenzie Gandy took that title in the win over CMU, scoring five goals and two assists. Sachs posted four goals and an assist vs. SMC and two goals and an assist at Yale. Gandy tied the game-high points total in RMU's win over Detroit Mercy with three points on a goal and two assists. Sachs had two goals and two assists at George Washington and recorded a hat trick against Liberty.

MILLER THRILLER
Freshman goalkeeper Katelyn Miller once again shined in the Colonials win over Liberty, making 11 saves. Miller has made 70 saves this season, first in the NEC and 15th in the NCAA.

STELLA SURGE
For the first time this season, someone other than a freshman led the Colonials in scoring. In RMU's 9-7 win over Detroit Mercy, sophomore Maggie Stella scored a hat trick to pace the Colonials with three points. A freshman did match that point total, with Mackenzie Gandy scoring a goal and adding two assists. Stella surpassed Gandy for second on the team in goal-scoring, now with 15 goals ahead of Gandy's 11. Stella is third on the team in scoring with 17 points. 

CAUSING A RUCKUS
Robert Morris is ranked first in the NCAA in caused turnovers per game with a 15.63 average. The Colonials have 126 caused turnovers in eight games played. Senior Megan Wolfgang is second in the NEC and 6th in the NCAA in caused turnovers per game (2.75). Sachs and Dana Davis are 5th in the NEC and 26th in the NCAA, while junior Kendall Noel and freshman Meghan Crouse are all in the NCAA's top 100 in caused turnovers.
 
GROUND GAME
RMU has also been solid in ground balls, ranked 10th in the NCAA in ground balls per game with 22.38, second in the NEC.

UP NEXT
Following this weekend's game, Robert Morris returms home to face crosstown rival Duquesne on March 25 at Joe Walton Stadium.
