Karvel Anderson (2012-14) has signed a contract with
Boulazac Basket Dordogne (BBD) of the Pro A French League.
The 2017-18 season will mark Anderson's fourth season professionally. He spent two seasons (2014-16) with Andrea Costa Imola as part of Serie A2 Basket in Italy before playing for Eisbären Bremerhaven of the Federal Basketball League (Basketball Bundesliga) in Germany in 2016-17.
Last season for Eisbären Bremerhaven, Anderson averaged 11.6 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 31 games, including 14 starting assignments. He shot 44.7 percent (131-for-293) from the field, including 37.7 percent (57-for-151) from deep, and 85.1 percent (40-for-47) at the free-throw line.
In 2015-16, Anderson averaged 17.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 31 games with Andrea Costa Imola. He scored a career-high 45 points while adding five rebounds and three steals against Roseto (2/7/16), converting 14 of his 24 shots from the floor while going a perfect 9-for-9 at the free-throw line. In his first season with Andrea Costa Imola in 2013-14, Anderson averaged 13.1 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists per contest.
In two seasons at Robert Morris, Anderson appeared in 69 career games, posting averages of 16.3 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.2 assists per contest. He finished his career with the Colonials by scoring 1,123 points, becoming just the third player in program history, including the second at the Division I level, to eclipse the 1,000-point plateau in two years.
As a senior in 2013-14, Anderson started all 36 games, averaging 19.7 points while shooting 51 percent (248-for-486) from the field, including 46.3 percent (119-for-257) from beyond the arc, and 84.1 percent (95-for-113) at the free-throw line.
In 2013-14, Anderson rewrote the single-season record book by producing arguably the greatest offensive season in the 41-year history Division I history of Robert Morris basketball. He established records for points (710), field goals (248), three-point field goals (119), three-point field goals made per game (3.31), double-figure scoring games (33), 20-point scoring efforts (19) and 30-point scoring contests (4). For his efforts, Anderson was named the 2014 Northeast Conference (NEC) Player of the Year. In addition to the NEC plaudit, Anderson was named an AP Honorable Mention All-American and was selected to play in the Reese's College All-Star Game as part of the festivities for the 2014 NCAA Final Four.

Andrew Toole, Robert Morris has posted an overall record of 134-106 (.558), including a mark of 82-42 (.661) against league foes. Toole has guided the Colonials to a pair of NEC regular-season championships (2013, 2014) as well as the 2015 NEC Tournament title.
Since the beginning of the 2007-08 campaign, RMU has compiled an overall record of 207-136 (.603) and has appeared in the NCAA Tournament three times (2009, 2010, 2015), the NIT three times (2008, 2013, 2014) and the 2012 CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament (CIT).
