Westlake, Ohio – The Robert Morris University men's golf team posted a 16-over 300 in the final round of the Tom Tontimonia Invitational this afternoon to place seventh at the event.
RMU totaled an 893 (+41) over three rounds, finishing three strokes behind Evansville (890, +38) in sixth. Dayton (869, +17) won the event after shooting a four-over 288 this afternoon, followed by Oakland (871, +19) and tournament host Cleveland State (874, +22) rounding out the top three.

Kyle Grube was the top individual finisher for the Colonials, coming in a tie for 17th with a seven-over 220. He posted a 72 (+1) on the day, collecting 15 pars and a birdie. After his birdie on the par-five 14th hole, Grube fired 12 straight pars to complete his round.
Max Palmer totaled an eight-over 221 across three rounds, placing in a deadlock for 19th. Palmer tallied a pair of birdies and 12 pars, with the two birdies coming on back-to-back holes to close the day.
Chase Miller placed in a tie for 43rd with a 14-over 227. Miller's third round consisted of two birdies and 10 pars, as he joined Palmer as the only two RMU players to birdie their final hole.
Bryce Gorrell, David Szymanski, and individual Nicholas Mihalo all were part of a deadlock for 50th. Gorrell was the best of three this afternoon, posting a five-over 76 with a team-best three birdies. Szymanski and Mihalo each carded 12 pars as a part of their final rounds.
Robert Morris is back in action on Monday, Oct. 15 in its penultimate tournament of the fall, the Titans Motown Collegiate. The Colonials are the reigning champions of the event, with Szymanski earning medalist honors.
