Chesterton, Ind. – The Robert Morris University men's golf team concluded the Crusader Collegiate with its best round of the tournament this afternoon, firing a five-over 293 to finish in a tie for 13th overall.
Kyle Grube carded a one-under 71 to lead Robert Morris this afternoon. The senior posted four birdies – two each on the front and back nines – and 11 pars. This is his eighth round at or below par over his Colonial career, which is tied for the seventh most all-time.

Max Palmer matched his first round tally of one-over 73 to place as RMU's highest finisher at 49th. Palmer collected three birdies on the front nine and 11 pars overall, registering an 11-over 227 over the two days.
Chase Miller finished in a tie for 51st with a 12-over 228 for the tournament. Miller recorded a two-over 74 on the final 18, spraying a team-best 13 pars to go along with a pair of birdies.
Parker Johnson continued to get better as the tournament wore on, firing a three-over 75 this afternoon to finish in a tie for 67th. Johnson totaled an 18-over 234 over three rounds, finishing his final trip on the links with three birdies and 10 pars.
Playing as an individual, Logan Hess carded a five-over 77 on the day. Hess matched Palmer and Johnson's birdie total and added nine pars.
Cole Chase – who yesterday hit RMU's first hole-in-one since Sept. 2014 – posted an 11-over 83 this afternoon with 10 pars.
Wright State won the event with an 11-over 853. North Dakota State (-6, 858), Valparaiso (-6, 858), Butler (+3, 867), and Loyola-Chicago (+4, 868) rounded out the top five. NDSU's Van Holmgren took home medalist honors with a 72-hole total of nine-under 207.
Robert Morris is back in action next Monday, Sept. 23 at the Northern Kentucky Fall Collegiate Classic. The Colonials are the reigning team champions of the event, and Miller captured medalist honors last September.
