Moon Township, Pa. – The RMU men's basketball team announced changes to its 2020-21 schedule Thursday.
The 2020-21 season opener against Point Park at the UPMC Events Center scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 25, has been postponed. In addition, non-conference games for the Colonials against Central Michigan (Nov. 28) and Florida Gulf Coast (Dec. 2) have been canceled and will be rescheduled for the 2021-22 season. A decision regarding additional non-conference home games, including RMU's contest against Point Park, will be made in the near future.
The RMU men's basketball program has paused team activities due to positive COVID-19 test results among the team's personnel, which includes student-athletes, coaches and staff. The health and safety of the RMU and Moon Township community remains paramount as RMU Athletics continues to follow university, local, state and national guidelines in response to the global pandemic.
