Moon Township, Pa. – A total of 31 student-athletes from the
Robert Morris University rowing team were named to the 2020 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Academic Honor Roll Monday.
To be eligible for the MAAC Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must hold a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.20 or higher on a 4.00 scale, and freshman are eligible. The 2020 MAAC Honor Roll covers 23 sports and includes both full-time and associate members.
Seven of the RMU student-athletes to be named to the 2020 MAAC Academic Honor Roll own a cumulative GPA of 3.97 or higher, including three with a perfect 4.00 GPA.
Freshmen
Farah Mohamed and
Julia Olshansky each recorded a 4.00 GPA in their rookie season, and each are nursing majors. Sophomore
Mary Woods, who studies engineering, also has recorded a 4.00 GPA.
Juniors
Madelyn Green and
Mia Krolczyk have compiled a 3.99 GPA through three years at Robert Morris, with Green owning nursing as a major and Krolczyk studying engineering. Junior
Nicole Kristof and sophomore
Jayme Sanner have each posted a 3.97 GPA, with Kristof owning a double major of marketing and sport management, while Sanner studies statistics & predictive analysis.
In addition, a total of 14 of RMU's 31 student-athletes named to the 2020 MAAC Academic Honor Roll have accumulated a GPA of 3.75 or better.
Brittany Bell graduated from Robert Morris in May with a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental science while maintaining a 3.84 GPA, while
Kestra Harris earned a Bachelor of Science degree in communication while recording a 3.79 GPA. Harris will return for her fifth year with the Colonials in 2020-21.
