LAST TIME OUT
RMU closed out its non-conference slate with a 4-1 home win over VMI before earning a point on the road with a scoreless draw at Detroit Mercy Saturday.
SENIOR DAY
Friday's game will also be Senior Day, where RMU will honor the careers of Gustaf Moberg, Lorenzo Guagneli and Nate Graziani with a special pre-game ceremony.
PLAYOFF PICTURE
With just two games remaining in the regular season, RMU is still in the hunt for the 2021 Horizon League playoffs.
Currently tied with Wright State for seventh overall with ten points, RMU is two points out of the final playoff spot heading into the final stretch of the regular season.
With Detroit Mercy, UIC and Northern Kentucky all in a three-way tie with 12 points and NKU playing non-conference Coastal Carolina Saturday, a win by the Colonials Friday could give RMU a chance to leapfrog either the Titans or Flames in the standings as the two are set to square off against one another Saturday. Wright State is also set to face off against top-ranked Cleveland State.
RMU is trying to qualify for its first postseason action since making the NEC Tournament semi-finals in 2017.
TEAM LEADERS
Following his hat trick and seven-point day against VMI, Bryn Akongo now leads RMU in goals with four as well as total points with twelve.
Kelvin Ramirez became the sixth Colonial to score his first career collegiate earlier this season, joining Preston Rushmore, Tom Akinola, Bryan Akongo, Gal Ben Dayan and Owen Jowett who have also found the back of the net for the first time this year.
RMU has scored 14 goals from seven different scorers this year, and just two Colonials have started all 14 games so far for RMU: Akongo and Ramirez.
Grant Glorioso has made five consecutive starts in goal for RMU and currently owns a 3-2-1 overall record.
SCOUTING THE PHOENIX
Green Bay has had a rough go of things in 2021, currently dead last in the overall standings at 0-6-2 in conference play with two points.
Though they're coming off a draw that ended a four-game conference losing streak, the Phoenix have struggled to finish this year with just four goals in eight conference games, and their 15 goals conceded are tops in the league.
Junior mid Ezau Millan is the only member of Green Bay with multiple goals this season and currently leads them in total scoring with four points.
NEXT UP
RMU finishes out the regular season when they go on the road for a showdown at IUPUI on Wednesday, November 3 at 2:00 PM.
