Moon Township, Pa. – Fifth-year kicker Nick Bisceglia of the RMU football team earned his second weekly honor of the 2021 season Monday, as he was tabbed the Big South Special Teams Player of the Week. Bisceglia also garnered the accolade Nov. 1, 2021, after his role in a 38-35 win over Hampton (10/30) at Joe Walton Stadium.

In a 20-17 overtime victory over Campbell (11/20) that helped the Colonials finish their home slate with a 4-1 (.800) record at the Joe, Bisceglia connected for a 25-yard field goal on the first possession of free football that proved to be the game-winner. The Camels had an opportunity to tie it on their possession of overtime, but Isaac Riffle shot a 24-yard field goal attempt wide right, securing the triumph for RMU.

Bisceglia, a native of New Kensington, Pa., gave the Colonials an early 3-0 lead over Campbell by connecting for a 41-yard field goal at the 10:19 mark of the first quarter. It marked his third field goal of the season from 40 yards or longer.

Overall during the 2021 season, Bisceglia led RMU in scoring with 51 points. He finished 10-for-12 in field goals and was also a perfect 21-for-21 in point after attempts. Thanks to his PAT Saturday that gave the Colonials a 17-10 advantage in the third quarter, Bisceglia became just the third student-athlete in program history to reach the 200-point plateau.

Bisceglia concluded his career with 203 points, trailing only former kicker Jeff Carlo (1998-2001) and running back Tim Hall (1994-95) in the RMU record book. Carlo owns the school mark with 250 points, while Hall scored 208. Bisceglia also finished out his career by converting each of his final 60 point after attempts.

Led by head coach Bernard Clark, Jr., the Colonials recorded a record of 3-4 (.429) in their first full season as an associate member of the Big South, earning home victories over Charleston Southern (10/9), Hampton (10/30) and Campbell (11/20).
