PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Robert Morris University senior captain Lexi Templeman capped off a historic weekend with some well-deserved hardware from College Hockey America when she was named CHA Player of the Week Monday. It's the first win this season for Templeman.
The Staffa, Ontario native scored a natural hat trick in the first period of RMU's 7-0 win over RIT this past Saturday, rounding out a four-point day and five point week for the veteran pivot.
RMU's current leading scorer, the hat trick was the first of Templeman's college career and the first natural hat trick a Colonial has scored since Michaela Boyle did so back on November 24, 2019.
The Colonials are coming off of a series sweep against the Tigers in which they outscored them 12-0 in two games for their fifth straight win.
They return to the ice tomorrow when they face Mercyhurst at 2:00 p.m. in Erie.
