Moon Township, Pa. – The women's basketball series between Robert Morris University and Detroit Mercy this weekend at the UPMC Events Center has been canceled following the suspension of the Titans' season on Jan. 21.
With RMU's second contest of the weekend slated to be Senior Day, the program will instead hold a recognition of its senior class on its social media channels at noon on Saturday, Feb. 13. The Colonials will honor guards Nina Augustin (Helsinki, Finland), Megan Callahan (Bristow, Va.), Laura Carrasco (Madrid, Spain), and Honoka Ikematsu (Kumamoto, Japan), forward Holly Forbes (Bonne Terre, Mo.), and student managers Philip Arrigo (Chippewa Township, Pa.) and Keyshawn Dowell (Baltimore, Md.).
RMU returns to the court on Feb. 19-20 for its final two games of the regular season at Purdue Fort Wayne. The Colonials and Mastodons will square off at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 19, while the Saturday, Feb. 20 contest will feature a noon tip. Both games can be seen on ESPN3.
