MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – RMU women's basketball has announced its complete 2026-27 schedule, featuring a challenging non-conference slate before the Colonials open Horizon League play in December and embark on a 20-game conference schedule.
Entering her third season at the helm, head coach Chandler McCabe leads the Colonials into the 2026-27 campaign following back-to-back postseason appearances. RMU finished 18-12 overall and 11-9 in Horizon League play last season.
The Colonials officially open the season Wednesday, Oct. 28, hosting St. Bonaventure in an exhibition matchup at the UPMC Events Center.
RMU opens the regular season Thursday, Nov. 5, welcoming UIC to Moon Township before hosting Delaware State on Nov. 8 and Eastern Michigan on Nov. 11. The Colonials then hit the road for contests at Duquesne on Nov. 16 and Akron on Nov. 20 before traveling to Daytona Beach, Florida, for a pair of games against Stetson on Nov. 25 and Clemson on Nov. 26. The non-conference slate concludes Sunday, Nov. 29, at Ball State.
The Colonials open Horizon League play Thursday, Dec. 3, hosting Green Bay at the UPMC Events Center. Two days later, RMU welcomes Milwaukee to Moon Township on Saturday, Dec. 5, giving the Colonials a challenging opening weekend against a pair of Horizon League opponents.
Following a trio of non-conference contests, RMU returns to league action on New Year's Eve, traveling to Detroit on Dec. 31.
The Colonials begin 2027 with another conference matchup, hosting Northern Illinois on Saturday, Jan. 2, before welcoming IU Indy to Moon Township on Thursday, Jan. 7.
RMU then begins a two-game road swing, visiting Wright State on Jan. 10 and Northern Kentucky on Jan. 12. The Colonials return home for three consecutive conference contests, hosting Purdue Fort Wayne on Jan. 16, Detroit on Jan. 21 and Oakland on Jan. 23.
The January slate concludes with another road trip, as RMU travels to Green Bay on Jan. 28 and Milwaukee on Jan. 31.
February opens with the Colonials hosting Cleveland State on Feb. 3 before traveling to Youngstown State on Feb. 6.
RMU then hits the road for a pair of conference contests at IU Indy on Feb. 10 and Northern Illinois on Feb. 13 before returning home to host Northern Kentucky on Feb. 17.
The Colonials close the regular season with three games in eight days, including two road contests and one home matchup. RMU travels to Purdue Fort Wayne on Feb. 20 and Cleveland State on Feb. 25 before closing the regular season at home against Youngstown State on Saturday, Feb. 27.
