PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Robert Morris University senior goaltender Molly Singewald capped off a memorable Senior Weekend with some well-earned honors from College Hockey America Monday when she was named CHA Goaltender of the Week.
It is the first career Goaltender of the Week win for Singewald.
The Farmington, Minnesota native was sensational in goal for Robert Morris, posting back-to-back shutouts on Saturday and Sunday evening against Sacred Heart in what were the first two starts of her NCAA career.
Singewald stopped a total of 36 shots over the two-game series, including several breakaway chances for the Pioneers in the final game on Sunday. She joins teammates and fellow goalies Raygan Kirk and Arielle DeSmet who also have each recorded two shutouts this season, though Singewald is the first of the trio to do so in back-to-back games.
RMU closes out the regular season this weekend when they host Syracuse for a pair on Friday and Saturday at Clearview Arena.
