Moon Township, Pa. – The RMU Department of Athletics announced Thursday an expanded partnership with Teamworks, the leading athlete engagement platform for collegiate and professional organizations.
The comprehensive platform partnership allows RMU student-athletes to easily access a wide range of information and communication through a centralized portal on their mobile devices, including scheduling, compliance, team operations, brand building, content delivery and more.
"We're extremely excited to partner with Teamworks as an opportunity to enhance the experience of all student-athletes at RMU," said RMU Vice President and Director of Athletics
Chris King '94. "The past year has illustrated the importance of developing intentional communication strategies that prioritize connection in a digital environment, which is second nature to our student-athletes.
"As we navigate this new environment of collegiate athletics, we will rely on both the Teamworks and INFLCR platforms to centralize department communication and ensure that our student-athletes are equipped for the road ahead."
RMU recently announced its partnership with
INFLCR to launch FORMULA, a comprehensive development program that equips RMU student-athletes with the tools and resources to prepare and succeed in the new era of Name, Image and Likeness (NIL).
The platform partnership with Teamworks is in conjunction with its partnership with INFLCR to launch FORMULA, a comprehensive development program that equips RMU student-athletes with the tools and resources to prepare and succeed in the new era of Name, Image and Likeness (NIL).
The partnership with INFLCR provides student-athletes with a comprehensive suite of services through a digital platform and mobile app that offers tools for education and reporting on NIL activity, as well as a platform that will assist student-athletes in identifying verified NIL opportunities on their own.
"In the last year, we've learned how critical technology is for a team or athletic organization to operate optimally, and NIL legislation going into effect July 1 solidified that further," said Teamworks CEO Zach Maurides. "We're excited to have Teamworks serve as the communications and operations platform seamlessly connecting leadership, athletes, coaches and staff at RMU.
"Likewise, we are thrilled to partner with RMU's FORMULA NIL program and supply Colonial athletes with the content delivery, education, marketplaces, analytics and automatic reporting so they can strategically and compliantly build their brands and capitalize on verifield NIL opportunities listed in the INFLCR Exchange."
Additionally the platform will serve as the main hub for tracking and monitoring student-athlete activities as they leverage available opportunities through the INFLCR Compliance Exchange, which empowers student-athletes with the knowledge and tools to connect with trusted partners to capitalize on their name, image and likeness.
Through the Teamworks partnership, RMU centralizes class and practice schedules, digitizes team travel itineraries, fosters streamlined communications and more for over 400 student-athletes. RMU joins UIC as the second department-wide partner from the Horizon League.
