Opening Tip
- The RMU women's basketball team wraps up a four-game road trip Sunday afternoon by traveling to Norman, Oklahoma for a 2:00 p.m. tipoff against the No. 23 Sooners at the Lloyd Noble Center.
- The Colonials opened up non-conference play again in their last outing, falling at West Virginia (12/8), 72-42, at the WVU Coliseum. Sophomore forward Phoenix Gedeon paced the way for RMU as she finished with a team high 14 points and collected five rebounds.
- Sophomore guard Rebecca Dwomoh tallied nine points, tied her season high with 5 rebounds and collected three steals in 31 minutes of action. Sophomore Simone Morris registered six points and four boards, three of them coming on the offensive. Freshman guard Louella Allana recorded five points, a season best six rebounds and three assists.
- Robert Morris split a pair of Horizon League contests last week, capturing a 68-47 victory at Wright State (12/2) before falling at Northern Kentucky, 69-54 (12/4).
- A trio of Colonials scored in double-figures, led by Gedeon who finished with 15 points on 7-of-11 from the floor and a career high 19 rebounds. Freshman Paris Kirk chipped in 12 points off the bench, while shooting 4-of-5 from the floor and a perfect 3-of-3 from downtown.
- Sophomore Alejandra Mastral finished with 10 points and three assists in 32 minutes of action. Dwomoh tallied eight points, three steals, and a block, while Sophomore Danielle Vuletich collected eight points and six boards.
- The Colonials shot a season best 54.5 percent (12-for-22) from behind the arc, connecting on 12 three pointers. Five different Colonials had two or more threes, led by Kirk who went 3-for-3.
- The Colonials took advantage of their size advantage inside as they outrebounded the Raiders 45-27. It's the second-consecutive game Robert Morris has outrebounded their opponent by 10 or more. For the seventh-straight game, RMU has scored 20 or more points in the paint this season, outscoring Wright State 20-18 on Friday night.

All-Time Series (Oklahoma) – This will be the first ever time the Colonials and Sooners will meet on the hardwood come Sunday. Oklahoma comes into the contest ranked No. 23 in the latest AP Top 25 Poll and the WBCA Coaches Poll. The Sooners are 4-0 all-time vs. teams from the Horizon League, boasting a 3-0 record vs. Milwaukee and then a 1-0 record vs. IUPUI, who OU defeated in the NCAA Tournament last season.
Oklahoma Notes – The Sooners come into Sunday's contest on a four-game winning streak, holding a 7-1 overall record this season. Sunday's game will be the Sooners third-straight home game as they sit tied for fourth in the Big 12. Oklahoma is coming off a 69-59 victory over Ole Miss (12/4) that pitted one of the nation's most prolific offenses vs. one of the best defensive teams in the country. As a team, the Sooners highlight one of the top offenses in the country. They currently sit fifth in the country in scoring offense averaging 87.2 points per game as they have scored over 87 points in five contests this season. Oklahoma ranks fifth in the NCAA and first in the Big 12 averaging 20.6 assists per game. The Sooners are averaging over eight three-pointers a game through their first eight games.
Oklahoma features four players averaging double-figures, led by Redshirt senior Madi Williams who is averaging 16.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. Junior Skylar Vann sits second on the team with 11.5 points, while pacing the Sooners with 7.1 rebounds per game. Junior Nevaeh Tot sits third on the team averaging 10.9 points per game and leads the Sooners with 4.6 assists per game, while redshirt senior Taylor Robertson adds over 10 points and 3.3 assists.
Passing The Century Mark – Through nine games so far this season, the Colonials feature some players who are looking to pass the century mark for their careers. Junior guard
Mackenzie Amalia currently sits at 97 career rebounds, while
Simone Morris has collected 87 rebounds in her first two seasons.
Danielle Vuletich has continued to give RMU a spark as she is currently at 96 career points, while scoring 76 points through the first nine games.
On The Way Up – Sophomore guard
Simone Morris continues to develop and has settled in nicely for the Colonials. After appearing in 28 games and starting in 16 as a freshman, Morris has doubled her points average in the opening nine games this season. She is averaging 8.2 points per game and is just two points away from passing the 200 mark. Morris currently sits second on the team with 5.2 rebounds per game and has already surpassed her total from last season.
