Moon Township, Pa. – A four-game homestand at the UPMC Events Center to open the 2022-23 regular season, including non-conference home games with Saint Francis U and George Mason, and a full slate of Horizon League games highlight the 2022-23 RMU women's basketball schedule.
The Colonials will open their 47th season of NCAA Division I women's basketball by welcoming the Red Flash to the UPMC Events Center Monday, Nov. 7. RMU follows by hosting George Mason (Nov. 10), Waynesburg (Nov. 12) and Wheeling (Nov. 14) as part of its season-opening homestand.
The first road game of the 2022-23 campaign comes Wednesday, Nov. 23, when the Colonials visit Akron. Also on the non-conference road slate for RMU are trips to West Virginia (Dec. 8) and Oklahoma (Dec. 11), while home contests against Canisius (Nov. 26) and St. Bonaventure (Dec. 16) round out non-conference action.

Charlie Buscaglia said. "Every time we put on the uniform it's an opportunity to go out and compete against some quality competition, whether that's teams from a solid mid-major conference or a Power 5. We're looking forward to each of those opportunities."

Horizon League play commences Friday, Dec. 2, when RMU opens a two-game road swing at Wright State. The Colonials will also visit Northern Kentucky Sunday, Dec. 4, for the opening weekend of league play. The home portion of the Horizon League slate for RMU opens Thursday, Dec. 29, against Purdue Fort Wayne.
The 2022-23 season officially gets underway Thursday, Oct. 20, at 7:00 p.m. with Madness at the UPMC Events Center. Fans can be introduced to the Colonials of the men's and women's basketball program with a special event to kickoff the season.
Season tickets for the
2022-23 season are on sale now and can be purchased by calling the RMU Ticket Office at (412) 397-4949. Starting at $150, which includes a $50 donation to the general athletics fund, season tickets are only available in courtside seating and guarantee you the same seat for the entire year.
