  • In the first game, goaltender Maggie Hatch earned her first career win. For the second game of the series, goaltender Emma Gorski won her first game on home ice for RMU and second win of the season.
  • Sophomore Morgan Giannone continued her strong play, producing two three-point games against the Hawks. Her solid weekend earned her Offensive Player of the Week honors by the CHA conference for the second time this season. She helped RMU pick up their first victory of the season as she scored the tying goal and the overtime winner at Union (9/30). Giannone is currently first in the conference in points (4-6--10).
  • Freshman Janelle Evans was tabbed Rookie of the Week by the CHA. As a first-year player, Evans has produced well, recording two goals and three assists over the home opening weekend. On the year she's posted seven points which leads all freshmen across the conference.
  • In the series against Saint Anselm, 12 goals were scored and 14 different players on the Colonials recorded a point. Mya Neugent recorded her first career goal. Freshman defenseman Kaitlyn Schooley in game one of the series sniped in her first career goal along with her first collegiate assist. Freshman forward Catriona Crarer also dished out her first career assist. And, joining RMU for the 2023-24 season, forwards Madison Primeau, Shailynn Snow and Jersey Phillips all registered their first points in an RMU jersey.
  • Back in Week 1 of the campaign, graduate defenseman Chloé Puddifant also earned Defensive Player of the Week honors as she produced one goal and one assist along with four blocks in the Union series.
  • Entering a new season, RMU's coaching staff brought in 10 freshmen and nine transfers along with six members of the team from last year's roster.
  • Head coach Logan Bittle in his first year as the bench boss, eclipsed 250 wins in his career at RMU this past weekend. As a player from 2004-08, he won 59 games. Spending time as an assistant coach and associate head coach with the program, he was a part of 189 wins. And, now as head coach, with three wins he's reached over 250 wins.
  • In RMU's most recent season, back in 2020-21, the Colonials put forth a historic season, finishing 16-8-1 overall and 11-7-1 in conference play. The program won the CHA Championship, taking down RIT, 4-0 in the quarterfinal round. Then beating Mercyhurst in overtime, 3-2 in the semifinal game. And, winning the championship game, 1-0 over Syracuse to take home RMU's third CHA trophy in program history, qualifying for the NCAA Playoff Tournament.
