Moon Township, Pa. – The RMU golf team continued its 2023-24 season Tuesday, finishing 11th at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational at Guyan Golf and Country Club in Barboursville, W.Va. The Colonials finished with a 54-hole score of 871 (+19).
TEAM CHAMPION
Belmonth finished first at the 2023 Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational, finishing 12-under par in each of the first two rounds and -4 in the third and final round to close at 824 (-28). The host Thundering Herd finished second (-20), with Morehead State (-18), Purdue Fort Wayne (-6) and Bellarmine (-4) rounding out the top five.

Fifth-year
Alex Seelig opened the tournament with a 70 (-1) and paced the Colonials at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational with a 214 (+1). He tied for 29th individually with Nick Holder of Purdue Fort Wayne. Seelig finished with 11 birdies during the invite to pace RMU, tied with fifth-year
Logan Hess.
SPEEDWAY
Hess recorded five of his birdies during the second round en route to shooting a 71 to pace the Colonials. Overall he finished at 219 (+6) for the invitational. Senior
Josh Nagy tied for 31st individually at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational, carding a 215 (+2). He opened the tournament with a 71 (E) to pace RMU and handed in a 72 in both rounds two and three.
THE LINEUP
Sophomore
Peyton Iverson concluded the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational at 223 (+10), while freshman
Tanner Cardwell finished at 227 (+14). Playing as an individual, fifth-year
Parker Johnson handed in a 233 (+20).
UP NEXT
RMU heads to Nashport, Ohio, to participate in the Virtues Intercollegiate, which is hosted by Miami (Ohio) Monday, Sept. 25, and Tuesday, Sept. 26, at Virtues Golf Club.
