GAME 1
1st PERIOD
- The Colonials were knocking on the door early as junior forward Madison Primeau hit the post just a minute into the game.
- Just a few minutes later, Primeau and defenseman Kaitlyn Schooley both threw a shot on target. Finally, freshman Catriona Crarer corralled the rebound, and sniped in her first career goal to give the Colonials a 1-0 lead.
- With under two minutes left in the period, Lindenwood tied up the game, scoring on the power-play.
2nd PERIOD
- All it took was 17 seconds into the second period for RMU to take back the lead as Alaina Giampietro sniped in her first goal of the series. After some offensive possession, defenseman Chloé Puddifant found Primeau on the right-side wall. She quickly sauced a pass across the zone, finding the tape of Giampietro's stick perfectly.
- Later in the period, several players jammed up in front of the Lions net. There to finish it off was forward Jersey Phillips to extend the Colonials lead.
- Before the period was over, Shailynn Snow added another as she backhanded in RMU's fourth goal of the night.
3rd PERIOD
- Entering the final frame, the third period featured plenty of special-teams play as both sides took five penalties each.
- The Lions scored late with around a minute left and then pulled their goalie, but it was too late as RMU won the first game, 4-2.

GAME 2
1st PERIOD
- RMU started the second game the same way, scoring the first goal of the day. Causing a turnover behind the net, graduate forward Courtney Hall made a no-look pass to the slot, finding her line mate Mya Neugent wide open. Neugent quickly turned and slotted in her shot between the goalie's legs for her fourth goal of the season.
- Three minutes later, Lindenwood responded, tying up the game, 1-1.
2nd PERIOD
- Through the middle frame, both programs scored two goals each.
- From behind RMU's net, Puddifant wrapped the puck around the boards to Evans down the wing. She flipped the puck into the neutral zone, finding Giampietro in space. Making a nifty move, the freshman dangled around a defender and beat the goaltender all alone.
- Over the next three minutes, the Lions responded again, scoring two quick goals to take a 3-2 advantage.
- Before the period ended, Shailynn Snow caused a turnover on the forecheck. She then set up Giampietro on the one-timer, producing her third goal of the series.
3rd PERIOD
- After several chances for RMU, Lindenwood cashed in with under five minutes left to take a late, 4-3 lead.
- With a minute left, a Lindenwood skater was issued a 5-minute major penalty. Going back on the power-play, the Colonials peppered five shots in the final minute, but unfortunately weren't able to tie it up.
