MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – RMU heads back out on the road for their second series of the season against Syracuse. The first game of the series is scheduled for Friday, January 26 at 6:00 p.m. The series will be played the following day at 3:00 p.m. Both games will be streamed on Cuse TV.
RMU LATELY
RMU (9-15-0, 6-6-0 #CHA) this past weekend split their series hosting Mercyhurst (RV). The Lakers took game one winning 6-1 but RMU bounced back to victory the second day, winning 2-1. In RMU's 2-1-win, freshman
Alaina Giampietro chipped in on each score. She assisted
Janelle Evans on the Teddy Bear Toss goal and then scored the game-winning goal. It was her fifth multipoint game of the season. Giampietro continues to be the top goal scorer and point getter at RMU (11-8—19). Her 11 goals are third best in the conference and she's also in the CHA's top 10 in points. Evans has now scored the programs first goal of the season on the road at Union (9/29) and now scored the first Teddy Bear Toss goal in the programs return (1/20). She owns five goals, 12 assists and 17 points this season.
THE STREAK CONTINUES
Across the two games of the Mercyhurst series, graduate defenseman Chloé Puddifant dished out an assist in each game, extending her career best point streak to six games. She's produced one assist in each of her last six appearances. Currently, Puddifant leads the squad in assists (13) and leads all blue liners on the roster in points (14). Her 13 helpers are tied for fourth most in the CHA.

Allyson Hebert owns a team-high 48 blocks this season. Alternate captain Chloé Puddifant holds 43 and Captain
Wasyn Rice has blocked 42. The three captains are in the top six in blocked shots across the CHA. No other CHA team has more players in the top six in that category.

All-time, RMU is 27-22-9 when facing Syracuse. The Colonials head into New York riding a three-game win streak against the opposing program. Through history, RMU has collected five, three-game win streaks over Syracuse. In 58 total games, the Colonials have gathered nine shutouts over the Orange. 11 games have ended in overtime and RMU is averaging 2.29 goals-per-game when facing Syracuse. SCOUTING SYRACUSE
Syracuse (5-19-2, 2-9-1 #CHA) returns to their home arena after splitting a series at Penn State. They beat the Nittany Lions in the first game, 3-1 and then lost the following day, 5-0. Prior to Penn State, the Orange had lost their last five contests. With four series remaining, Syracuse currently sits in sixth place in the CHA standings. They've scored 45 goals on the season and have allowed 113. Statistically, in the conference, center Tatum White is ranked seventh in face-off win-percentage (.533).

After playing at Syracuse, the Colonials will play another series in New York the following weekend, playing in Rochester against RIT. The two-game series is scheduled for February 2-3.
