MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU women's hockey team embarks on its first road trip of the 2024-25 season, taking on the No. 3/5 Clarkson Golden Knights. The two-game series begins on Friday, October 11 at 3:00 PM and concludes on Saturday, October 12 at 2:00 PM, with both games available live on ESPN+.
RMU LATELY
The Colonials (3-1-0, 0-0-0 AHA) are coming off an impressive sweep of Bemidji State, winning 2-0 in the opener and 4-3 in an overtime thriller. In game one,
Mya Neugent scored against her former team, netting the eventual game-winner, while
Janelle Evans added her first goal of the season on a power play. Goaltender
Maggie Hatch recorded her second career shutout with a stellar 46-save performance, just four saves shy of her career-high.
In the second game, RMU jumped out to a 3-0 lead, with goals from
Calli Arnold (shorthanded),
Shayne Desjardins (her first career goal), and
Morgan Giannone. Though Bemidji State rallied to tie the game,
Thalia D'Elia delivered the overtime game-winner to seal the sweep.

For the second consecutive week, D'Elia was named AHA Defensive Player of the Week, recording a game-winning goal and an assist during the series. Hatch also earned AHA Goaltender of the Week honors after securing two wins and posting one shutout.

Veronica Bac leads the AHA in both goals and power-play goals (3 each) and is second in faceoff wins with 51. D'Elia ranks second in the conference in points with five, while
Shayne Desjardins is at the top in blocked shots (15). RMU also leads the league in total blocks with 96. Graduate forward
Jersey Phillips boasts the best +/- rating in the AHA at +4.
RMU RECEIVES VOTES IN NATIONAL POLL
For the first time since the program's return under head coach
Logan Bittle, RMU has received two votes in the USA Hockey/The Rink Live NCAA Division I Women's Poll.
HISTORY VS. CLARKSON
RMU is 1-9-2 all-time against Clarkson, with their lone victory coming in 2007 (3-1). Last season,
Alaina Giampietro scored twice in the series, with
Catriona Crarer assisting on both goals.
SCOUTING CLARKSON
The Golden Knights (4-0-0, 0-0-0 ECACH) are off to a dominant start, outscoring opponents 34-3. Haley Winn and Raedyn Spademan each have four goals, with Winn leading the team in points (4-7—11). Jenna Goodwin boasts a team-best +10 rating, while Nicole Gosling has contributed five blocks. Clarkson's goaltending duo of Holly Gruber and Julia Minotti have split the starts, each with two wins and one shutout.
