MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The No. 2 seed RMU men's soccer team is set to face No. 3 Milwaukee in the #HLMSOC Semifinal this Thursday, November 14 at 4:00 PM at Oakland Soccer Field in Rochester, Mich. The match will stream live on ESPN+.
RMU LATELY
RMU (7-6-3, 4-3-2 #HLMSOC) earned a first-round bye in the Horizon League Championship as the No. 2 seed. Five Colonials recently received All-League honors:
Chase Gilley on the first team,
Fabian Overkamp,
Josh Lane, and
John Paul Mbuthia on the second team, and
Anass Hadran on the third team. Gilley leads RMU in goals and points (6g, 4a, 16p), while
Logan Gilley and Hadran each top the team with six assists. Goalkeeper Lane, who has started all 16 games, has seven wins, four clean sheets, and 42 saves this season.

Heading into the playoffs, Hadran and forward
Kosi Udeh are on four-game point streaks. Over the last four matches, Hadran has contributed two goals and three assists, while Udeh has scored in each of the last four games, all against conference opponents.

Graduate forward
Chase Gilley is nearing 50 career points. Across 71 career games, the Denver, N.C., native has tallied 18 goals, 11 assists, and 47 points. He also boasts six game-winning goals and is 2-for-2 on penalty kicks.
PLAYOFF HISTORY
Since joining the Horizon League in 2020, RMU has qualified for the conference playoffs three times. In 2021, the Colonials fell to Milwaukee in the quarterfinals, 1-0. The following year, they drew Oakland 2-2 in regulation, but Oakland advanced on penalty kicks, 6-5. RMU is aiming for its first Horizon League playoff victory on Thursday.

The Colonials are 2-4 against the Panthers since entering the Horizon League. Earlier this season, RMU defeated Milwaukee 1-0 at home, with a goal from

SCOUTING MILWAUKEE
Milwaukee (9-4-5, 4-3-2 #HLMSOC) hosted the quarterfinal round of the Horizon League Championship, edging No. 6 Purdue Fort Wayne, 1-0. Daiki Kumakawa scored the game-winner in the 73rd minute, assisted by Alejandro Martinez and David Cox. Individually, Martinez leads the team with nine goals and 22 points, while senior Paul Medina and sophomore Mesfin Roda each have seven assists. Freshman defender Julian Wendt has logged a team-high 1,620 minutes, starting in all 18 games. Senior goalkeeper Daniel Ibarra has earned nine wins, seven shutouts, and 72 saves this season.

The winner of Thursday's match will advance to the Horizon League Final on Saturday, November 16 at 1:00 PM to face either No. 1 Oakland or No. 4 Green Bay at Oakland.
