MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU women's basketball team returns home for a mid-year non-conference game against Mercyhurst on Saturday. Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. and can be seen streaming live on ESPN+.
 
RMU LATELY
The Colonials are coming off their first win in Horizon League play when they defeated Milwaukee on Saturday afternoon. Noa Givon led RMU by scoring 10 points while adding three rebounds and two assists. Jada Lee, Isys Grady, and Naomi Barnwell each scored nine points with Grady having a team-high six rebounds. The Colonials currently rank second in the Horizon League in total defense as RMU has only allowed 62.8 points in nine games played

RMU AND MERCYHURST HISTORY
These two teams haven't faced off in nearly 40 years with the last meeting taking place on February 19, 1985. The Colonials won by 50 points in that contest and have won all five meetings in the series.
With Mercyhurst now playing at the Division I level in the Northeast Conference; this matchup will most likely continue to happen in the years to come.

RMU Head Coach Chandler McCabe secured her first Horizon League win against Milwaukee with her squad boasting one of the top defenses in the conference. The Colonials are ranked second in the Horizon League in total defense as RMU has only given up 62 points per game through nine contests.

The Colonials will return to conference play next Wednesday night when they host Oakland. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. and can be seen live on ESPN+.
