WEST POINT, N.Y. – Michael Sacco's two goals in the final period led Army to a 3-1 victory Friday night. RMU is now 9-19-3 overall and 6-13-3 in AHA play. After a win, Army is now 9-19-1 and 7-13-1 in AHA action.
1st PERIOD
- Through the first 20 minutes, neither side found the back of the net.
- Army held the edge in shots, 11-7.
2nd PERIOD
- Brent Keefer of Army who would go on to produce a three-point effort scored the game's first goal in the second period.
- Although the Colonials didn't score in the second period, they posted 17 shots in the middle frame.
3rd PERIOD
- Early into the third period, RMU tied up the game. On the rush,
Rylee St. Onge sauced a pass by a defender, finding the tape of
Jackson Reineke on the backend.
- Four minutes later, Michael Sacco scored what would go down as the game-winning goal. He scored into an empty net with a minute remaining to secure a 3-1 victory for Army.

Cameron Garvey and
Rylee St. Onge each posted a team-high five shots on goal.
Dallas Tulik won 11 of 19 faceoffs on the night. Garvey won half his battles (9-18). Winning possession on seven of his draws,
Logan Ganie eclipsed 200 faceoff wins in the 2023-24 campaign. Goaltender
Chad Veltri made 25 stops against Army. He now owns 3,430 career saves. Freshman
Jackson Reineke scored the lone goal tonight for the Colonials. He's produced two goals and three assists over his last five contests.
75 FOR ST. ONGE
Captain
Rylee St. Onge dished an assist out in tonight's game, officially reaching 75 career points. In 135 career games played, he's produced 40 goals and 35 assists in his successful collegiate career. The St. Catharines, Ontario native owns eight goals and eight assists this season.
