MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – RMU Pat Gallagher Men's Basketball Head Coach
Andrew Toole has announced the
2024-25 non-conference schedule. The Colonials will play 11 games highlighted by a home multi-team event (MTE) and a road contest at West Virginia.
The Colonials open their 49th season of NCAA Division I men's basketball on November 4 against WVU in Morgantown facing the Mountaineers for the first time since the 2010-11 season.
The home opener will be November 10 against crosstown foe Chatham at the UPMC Events Center. Lindenwood, Stonehill and New Orleans will appear at the Urban-Bennett Invitational MTE, hosted by P3R on November 14, 15 and 17. Canisius, Towson and Saint Francis wrap up the non-conference home slate with the Red Flash matchup on December 21 marking the 93
rd meeting between the two schools.
Ohio, Delaware and Cornell round out the remaining non-conference road games.
"We are excited about the schedule we have created, it may be the first time in my head coaching career we have more non-conference home games than road games," said Toole. "We want to be able to allow our student-athletes to test themselves against teams that will prepare us for Horizon League play. This schedule will allow us to understand who we are as a team and give us the chance to create the connectivity needed to chase a Horizon League championship."
The Horizon League schedule will be announced at a later date.
