Colonials Prepare to Defend Home Court Against Duquesne

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU women's basketball team (3-0) is set to host Duquesne (4-0) as the Colonials clash with the Dukes in a cross-town matchup at the UPMC Events Center on Tuesday night. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. and the event will be streamed live on ESPN+.

RMU LATELY
The Colonials remained perfect on the season after outlasting a late push by Saint Francis last Thursday in Loretto to get the 71-61 win and move to 3-0. As a team, RMU shot 45%, going 29-for-64 from the floor while shooting 85% from the free-throw line on 11-for-13 shooting from the charity stripe. The Colonials scored 50 of their 71 points in the paint and were led by junior forward Eva Levingston with 18.

CAREER NIGHT FOR LEVINGSTON SPARKS COLONIALS
Eva Levingston had a career night in Loretto against the Red Flash, scoring 18 points, previously beating her career-high 17 at Cal State Fullerton. Along with her team-leading 18 points, Levingston also pulled down a team-leading eight boards for a near double-double, along with three assists, one block, and one steal in the win. Levingston went 6-for-11 from the floor and a perfect 6-for-6 from the free-throw line in 29 minutes played. Levingston is now averaging 11.3 PPG and 7.0 RPG.

SCOUTING DUQUESNE
Duquesne is off to a quick start on the season, moving to 4-0 after a big 102-73 win over head coach Dan Burts alma mater, West Liberty, last Tuesday. The Dukes have six players scoring double-digits, with freshman Alexis Bordas leading the way with 15.5 PPG. On the glass, Duquesne is pulling down 53.5 RPG, which is currently the third best in the country across all Division I teams.

The pair is set to face off for the 43rd time since 1978, with Duquesne winning the series 29-13. At home, the Colonials are 10-13 against the Dukes. The pair met last year with Duquesne getting a 77-61 win over the Colonials at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse in downtown Pittsburgh.
