INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – RMU Softball's
Anna Resnik and
Madelyn Coleman have been recognized as the Horizon League Player of the Week and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, as announced by the conference this afternoon.
Resnik made an immediate impact at RMU's season-opening Red & Black Classic in Boiling Springs, N.C., batting .500 (3-for-6) across two games. She recorded a double, a walk, and scored two runs.
In RMU's matchup against Iona, Resnik delivered a three-hit performance while tying her career-high with three RBI—a feat she has now accomplished in each of her four seasons with the Colonials.
Coleman shined in her RMU debut, striking out a career-high nine batters over 5.1 scoreless innings, securing her first victory of the season without allowing a single run.
