MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – RMU women's basketball looks to get back to their winning ways as they battle Youngstown State on Senior Day.
Tipoff is scheduled for Wednesday at 7 p.m. and can be seen streaming live on ESPN+.
RMU LATELY
The Colonials are coming off their first loss in two weeks as they fell on the road against Cleveland State, 85-53.
Katelyn Chomko led the Colonials with 15 points off the bench. Chomko registered a season-high five three-pointers against the Vikings as she was 5-11 from beyond the arc. The Colonials have multiple Horizon League seeding scenarios ahead of Wednesday's matchup including that RMU would be guaranteed top-6 seed with a win on Wednesday, and top-5 if Wright State loses to CSU. The fourth seed would not be determined until Saturday. RMU is currently the fourth seed in the Horizon League standings with two games remaining in regular season play. The Colonials currently rank third in the Horizon League in team defensive rebounds with RMU posting an average of 25.7 defensive boards in 27 games played.
RMU AND YOUNGSTOWN STATE HISTORY
The Colonials have more recent success against the Penguins compared to the all-time series. RMU has won two out of the last three matchups but own a 9-24 record all-time against YSU.
RMU AND YOUNGSTOWN STATE LAST TIME OUT
Last time out against the Penguins, RMU came out victorious on the road 67-61 last month.
Noa Givon had best game as a Colonial as she recorded a season-high 20 points while playing all 40 minutes.
Jada Lee also had a double-digit game as she registered 11 points off the bench while going 4-5 from the field. RMU had an explosive third quarter in this contest scoring 24 points and shooting 73 percent from the field.
SENIOR DAY
The Colonials will be celebrating nine seniors postgame against the Penguins as part of the Senior Day festivities.
