PITTSBURGH – RMU opened the Spring season at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational. The two-day event was held Friday and Saturday at Gesling Stadium. The Colonials ran in 12 track races and participated in eight field events.
Emma Jiancristoforo was fifth in 5000m with a PR of 17:39.52. Both
Gracie Parker and
Ny'Asia Benton were top five finishers in the 100m hurdles with Parker coming in third (15:07) and Benton fifth (15.39). The 4x400m team of
Morgan Fuller,
Hannah McDanel,
Lindsey Martineau and
Julianna Page-Daughtry was third, crossing in 3:56.75.
Rayna Todero recorded a new PR of 5.50/18-0.5 in the long jump, finished in third.
Mariya Chamberlain was two spots behind her with a 5.33/17-6. Chamberlain was second in the triple jump (11.54/37-10.5) followed by
Taylor Colwell in third with a PR of 11.45/37-6.75 and Tordero in fourth 11.26/36-11.5.
Maizee Fry recorded a PR in the discus with a throw of 40.43/132-8 and finished in fifth place.
Zoee Gologram was first in the javelin with a PR of 44.84/147-1.
RECORD BOOK UPDATES
- Laquatra is now seventh in the 1500m
- Jiancristoforo is now fourth in the 5000m
- Tordero is now eighth in the long jump
