MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU women's track and field team will host its lone meet of the year, the Benson/Hodge Memorial Invitational, on Friday at the P3R Track & Field Complex.
 
ABOUT THE BENSON/HODGE MEMORIAL INVITATIONAL
The first event will be the men's high jump at 11 a.m. and the final will be the women's 4x400 at 6:30 p.m. In all, there will be 12 running events and eight field events.
 
The event is named after two integral figures in program history, Gerald "Bennie" Benson and Bill Hodge. Benson, a 1991 RMC graduate, continued his career as an assistant track and field coach and assistant athletic director for the Colonials. Hodge led the RMC women's indoor track & field team to the Northeast Conference championship in 1998 and the men's indoor track & field squad to the NEC title in 1999.
