PITTSBURGH – In its lone home meet of the season, the RMU Women's Track & Field team turned in a solid performance at Benson/Hodge Memorial Invitational held at the P3R Track & Field Complex.
The Colonials were in competition with Allegheny, California (Pa.), Duquesne, Pitt, Point Park and Washington & Jefferson.
Julianna Page-Daughtry and
Ava Deming each set new school records. Page-Daughtry is the new record holder in the 400m with a time of 55.07 and Deming is atop the charts in the 800m crossing in 2:14.35.
Colonials that finished in first place were
Gracie Parker (100m/12.13 and 100.hurdles/14.47),
Lindsey Martineau (400m hurdles/1:05.44),
Rayna Todero (long jump/5.29/17-4.25),
Mariya Chamberlain (triple jump/11.77m/38-7.5),
Maizee Fry (shot put/12.77/41-10.75) and the 4x400m team of
Emma Bradbury, Erin Laquatra, Deming and
Franny Kabana (4:10.05).
RECORD BOOK UPDATES
- Parker's time replaces her pervious PR of 12.14 which is still fifth in the 100m
- Ny'Asia Benton is now 10th in the 100m with a time of 12.35
- Ailena Reynolds-Diaz moves in seventh place in the 800m with a time of 2:16.48
- Emma Jiacristoforo moves into eighth place in the 1500m with a time of 4:49.70
- Chamberlain remains in fifth in the triple jump
