INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – RMU senior second baseman
Anna Resnik has been named Horizon League Player of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday. It's the second time this season she's earned the weekly honor.
Resnik played a key role in RMU's 4-1 week, delivering standout performances in both midweek action against Mercyhurst and a pivotal series victory over Cleveland State. The Elizabeth, Pa., native hit .400 (6-for-15) across five games, recording at least one hit in each contest to extend her hitting streak to 11 games.
She also reached base four more times via walks, tallied eight RBI, crushed two home runs, and scored five runs. On the basepaths, she was a perfect 3-for-3 and added a sacrifice fly to cap a well-rounded week at the plate.
Resnik continues to be one of the Horizon League's most reliable offensive threats, currently ranking second in runs scored (40), sixth in RBI (34), eighth in on-base percentage (.424), and tied for fourth in doubles (10).
In her career, Resnik has made 187 appearances for the Colonials, compiling 146 hits, 107 runs, 74 RBI, 67 walks, 27 doubles, and five home runs.
Her award marks RMU's eighth Horizon League weekly accolade of the 2025 season, joining teammates
Madison DeVault (2x),
Courtney Poulich (2x),
Madelyn Coleman, and
Mary Brant.
The Colonials return to the field this weekend to close out the regular season with a three-game series at Bowling Green, scheduled for May 2–3.
