MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU men's hockey staff, led by Head Coach
Derek Schooley, has officially signed five transfers for the upcoming season. The new group includes two forwards, two defensemen, and one goaltender.
"We are very pleased with all of our transfers," said Schooley. "We did our homework in recruiting all these players as we believe they'll all contribute through their play and their off-ice character. The veteran leadership of these players brings crucial experience, and they will add valuable depth while creating competition for roster spots."
Dario Beljo | Forward | Junior | Sudbury, Ontario | Transfer from AIC
Beljo joins the Colonials after playing his first two collegiate seasons in the AHA with AIC. He appeared in 46 games for the Yellow Jackets, producing a total of 13 goals, 13 assists, and 26 points.
Ryan Taylor | Forward | Senior | St. Louis, Mo. | Transfer from Clarkson
Taylor arrives at RMU after three years at Clarkson. A veteran presence, he has appeared in 89 career games, registering 21 goals, 23 assists, and 44 points. He is also a three-time member of the ECAC All-Academic Team.
Rasmus Larsson | Defenseman | Sophomore | Hasselby, Sweden | Transfer from Northern Michigan
Larsson brings an elite pedigree to the Colonials' blue line. He was drafted by the New York Rangers in the 2023 NHL Draft in the fifth round (152 overall) and attended the New York Rangers 2025 Development Camp. As a freshman for the Wildcats, he skated in 29 games, scored three goals, and blocked 60 shots, ranking second on the team in both categories.
Max Wattvil | Defenseman | Junior | Stockholm, Sweden | Transfer from Merrimack
Wattvil joins RMU after playing his first two seasons at Merrimack. He appeared in 35 games for the Warriors, recording two goals and one assist in his collegiate career. Wattvil is also a two-time member of the Hockey East All-Academic Team.
Lucas Massie | Goaltender | Sophomore | Claremont, Calif. | Transfer from Union
Massie played his first collegiate season at Union, tending the twine for two games in 2024-25. He is a member of the ECAC All-Academic Team, and his addition provides further depth and competition to the Colonials' goaltending unit.
