MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU men's soccer team has been picked to finish third in the Horizon League for the 2025 season, according to the annual Under Armour #HLMSOC Preseason Poll, voted on by the league's head coaches.

The Colonials' third-place prediction follows a historic season where the team finished second in the regular season standings and went on to win its first-ever Horizon League Championship with a victory over Oakland. This championship run secured RMU's first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 2005.

The team, led by Head Coach Jonathan Potter in his third season, finished the 2024 campaign with a 9-7-3 overall record and a 4-3-2 mark in conference play.

Green Bay enters the season as the favorite, securing 87 total points and four first-place votes. Oakland, last year's tournament runner-up, was picked second with three first-place votes and 86 points total. The Colonials received one first-place vote and 78 points. Purdue Fort Wayne and Wright State also each received one first-place vote.
