INDIANAPOLIS – RMU softball catcher
Aglaia Rudd was named the Horizon League Player of the Week for the first week of the season, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
In four games at the Winthrop Invite in Rock Hill, S.C., Rudd delivered a dominant opening weekend at the plate, blasting four home runs. She highlighted her performance with the first multi-home run game of her career, launching two long balls against Le Moyne on February 13.
Over the weekend, Rudd totaled six RBI, five hits, four runs scored and a sacrifice fly while batting .455. She posted a 1.545 slugging percentage and a 1.962 OPS, powering the Colonials' offense throughout the tournament. With her four home runs, Rudd increased her career totals to 11 home runs and 49 RBI.
The honor marks the first weekly award of Rudd's career. During the 2025 season, RMU combined to earn eight weekly honors from the Horizon League, the most of any program in the conference.
Up next, Rudd and the Colonials will travel to Spartanburg, S.C. for the Spartan Classic/Sparkle City Invite, where they are scheduled to face Morgan State, Wofford, USC Upstate and Holy Cross from February 20–22.
