Dill Qualifies for the 2026 NCAA Division I Women’s Outdoor Track and Field First Round

INDIANAPOLIS - RMU women's track and field athlete, Julia Dill, was selected to compete in the 10,000m at the 2026 NCAA Division I Women's Outdoor Track and Field First Round at the University of Kentucky beginning on May 27.

Dill, a distance runner from Johnstown, Pennsylvania, will head to Kentucky coming off a conference championship in the 10,000m at the Horizon League Outdoor Track and Field Championships back at the beginning of May with a time of 35:08.21.

Coming into the first round of the championship, Dill is seeded 41st after posting a personal-best and school record time of 33:50.26 at the Raleigh Relays, finishing in 9th back at the end of March.

Dill is set to race at the University of Kentucky on Thursday night in the semifinals, which is slated to kick off at 9:10 p.m. If Dill places in the top-12, she will then advance to the 2026 NCAA Division I Women's Outdoor Track and Field National Championship at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, from June 10-13.

With her qualification for the First Round, Dill has become the 11th Colonial to compete in the East Regional and the first to represent the Colonials in the 10,000m. She is also looking to become the first runner for the Colonials to advance to the National Championship. The last Colonial to qualify was back in 2013 when Rachel Kotula qualified for the javelin.
