INDIANAPOLIS - RMU track and field athletes Julia Dill and Maizee Fry earned 2026 Valeo Outdoor #HLTF All-Academic Honors, the league office announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Dill, a senior mechanical engineering student, was selected to the 2026 Valeo Women's Outdoor #HLTF All-Academic Team after an incredible season for the Colonials. Dill was the lone qualifier for RMU for the 2026 NCAA East First Round Regional and is set to compete on Thursday night in the 10,000m. At the 2026 #HLTF Outdoor Championships, Dill led the Colonials to a third-place finish, marking their highest finish at the outdoor championships since joining the Horizon League. Dill brought home two individual conference championships, winning the 5000m and the 10000m. In the 5000m Dill posted a meet record time of 16:27.91. She was also named to the 2026 Valeo Women's Indoor #HLTF All-Academic Team this winter.Â
Fry, a graduate student studying secondary education, was named an honorable mention. At the outdoor championships, Fry totaled eight points, finishing fourth in the shot put and sixth in the discus. Fry finished the outdoor season with a first-place finish and four other top-five finishes. She was previously a member of the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll as well as the RMU Dean's list.Â
