- Appeared in five games, all in relief, as one of two backup goalies for RMU
- Stopped a career-high 18 shots Jan. 11 vs. Bentley, playing 30 minutes in all
- Posted a .933 save percentage and a 2.42 goals-against average

2017-18 | Freshman Season
- Appeared in two games in his first year at RMU, coming on in relief Nov. 24 at Bentley and Feb. 10 vs. RIT, allowing no goals in 2:11 of ice time
- Named one of Atlantic Hockey's student-athletes of the year, boasting a 4.0 GPA
- Also selected to AHC all-academic team

Pre-RMU Highlights
Lubbesmeyer recorded a .923 save percentage in 30 games played for the NAHL's Shreveport Mudbugs during the 2016-17 season, ranking in the top 10 in the league. Lubbesmeyer's record was 18-6-3-1 in the regular season; those were the fourth-fewest regulation losses in the NAHL. Played in the 2017 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament.

Lubbesmeyer was a dominant goalie for Burnsville High School in Minnesota before making the move to junior hockey in the NAHL. He was presented with the prestigious Frank Brimsek Award as the Senior Goaltender of the Year in Minnesota high school hockey in 2014-15.
